- The following changes have been made to the A04 BIOS to create A05:
1. Added Jackson Technology support
2. Add JT Setup switch
3. Remove CPU stepping mismatch F1/F2 warning message
4. Don't check CPU type mismatch when checking stepping
5. Fixed security loophole where password was skipped if PME asserted regardless of whether remote wake was enabled. Now check if remote wake enabled, if not ignore PME.
6. Fixed speed detection code.
7. Set the max cpu speed for Tesla to 2.4GHz
8. No longer do a verify of copied BIOS image on S3 resumes.
9. Fix for SIO chip causing the LED to not light up.
10. Fixed problem where BBS was being written to NVRAM on every boot
11. Fix bus speed field
12. Added code to setup for setting the hard drive acoustic mode.
13. Fix for busted APM on P4 systems.
14. Fixed bug with yellow bangs on the 1394 NIC under Windows XP.
15. Added support for checking to make sure the motherboard supports Prestonia if you put a Prestonia processor in it.
16. Prestonia changed to shutdown at 85 degrees instead of 105
17. Added Prestonia B0 patch level 08 microcode.
18. Removed BIST for Prestonia due to a bug.
19. Fixed bug with corrupted memory and hard hangs when going into S3.

- xeon1.7G 的接口是Socket 603的，而XEON2.4G的接口是Socket 604的，CPU針腳完全不同，工作電壓也不同，你的服務器主板智能支持SOCKET 603接口的CPU，當然不能兼容SOCKET 604接口哦。

- 我是用的這一臺Dell Precision 530|圖形工作站
主板名稱是Dell Precision WorkStation 530 MT CPU 類型 2x Intel Xeon, 1700 MHz (17 x 100)
CPU的型號是：1700DP/256L2/400/1.7V
現在我想換一對CPU：Intel Xeon, 2400 MHz CPU的型號是
：2400DP/512L2/400/1.5V
BIOS本來是A01版的，現在已經升級為A11了，
為什么我的dell precision workstation 530 電腦不支持至強2.4 的cpu呢？
